If you're looking for an alternative to phenoxyethanol-based mixtures, Evicide® rose 26 may be the solution. It offers comparable efficacy and can be used at the same concentration, without the need for listed preservatives. Ethylhexylglycerin acts as a potentiating agent, weakening the bacterial cell membrane and thus increasing the permeability of other antimicrobials, in this case, phenethyl alcohol. Phenethyl alcohol interferes with both the cell membrane of microorganisms and vital enzymes within the cell, leading to their elimination.

Applications:

pH-independent preservative blend suitable for aqueous formulations, surfactant-based systems, and emulsions. In aqueous formulations, solubilizers or glycols may be required at higher concentrations.
