In this molecule, vitamin C has been modified to make it more stable and oil-soluble, resulting in a potent antioxidant that protects oils from rancidity and prevents the loss of activity of active ingredients due to oxidation.

Applications:

Evicare® lipoguard C is a fat-soluble solid that must be melted in the oil phase. It is typically used in combination with tocopherols, as ascorbyl palmitate is able to regenerate tocopherols that oxidize upon exposure to oxygen.
