Salicylic acid is known to come from willow bark, although it is usually produced synthetically. Our natural version is produced from the wintergreen plant: Evicare® wintergreen.

Evicare® wintergreen is a naturally derived antimicrobial and preservative active ingredient. Salicylic acid is widely known in the industry and is used both as a preservative and, especially, as an active ingredient with specific functions: anti-dandruff, anti-acne, and for its keratolytic effect. Evicare® wintergreen is 100% natural and is sustainably obtained from the wintergreen shrub as a byproduct of the fragrance production process.

Applications:

Evicare® wintergreen is moderately water-soluble and readily incorporates into the aqueous phase. It is commonly used as the main active ingredient in anti-acne and anti-dandruff products.
